engines

WE pull your long block out, rebuild it, and put it back in!

  It really is THAT simple.

We tear the motor down to the bare block.

We deck the block and bore it out to 20 or 30 over

We turn the crank to 10/10 and the heads are milled and peened, and completely reconditioned.

All internal parts are new:

Pistons are Silvolite and Rings are Hastings

Camshaft is OEM or Mellings

Head Bolts because they stretch

Gaskets are Felpro or Mahle

Main and Rod Bearings are either King or Clevite

Timing Set, Lifters and Oil Pump are Mellings

and we throw in a Water Pump, Spark Plugs, Thermostat and fluids for FREE.

You have a Zero miles motor when we are finished.

We reinstall the engine and put your accessories from the valve covers out on top.

We have flat rate pricing and our quote is what you pay!

Free towing on all orders within 20 miles.

Vehicles housed 20 miles or more away will be charged an additional tow fee. You will be required to pay the tow driver for these fees, in cash, at the time of pickup. You will be given a credit for 1/2 the towing on your final bill.

If your components require machining outside of acceptable OEM practices or the metal is warped due to overheating you may be charged a core fee. Core fees start at $500 for the Block, and/or $300 for the Crank and/or $200 for each Head/or Heads.

EVERY effort will be made so you will not have to bear the burden of these costs.

It is our company policy to phone the vehicle owner in the event you need a component for prior approval.

Our engine warranty comes with a 2 year / 24k miles warranty OR

a 3 year / 36k miles warranty.

2 years/24,000 miles warranty means you are responsible for all proper interval oil changes and are required to do routine maintenance on your vehicle for the duration of your warranty .

In the event your vehicle comes back for a warranty related issue you must bring all records and receipts for every oil change and every maintenance record with you.

Oil changes are required at 500 miles, and every 3000 miles thereafter.

All receipts must have the date and mileage written on them.

You will not be seen without them.

Thermopaper is widely used in cash registers and is known to “melt out” when exposed to a heat source. You are required to make a photocopy to preserve them for your/our records.

The Engine Builders reserves the right to refuse any non photocopied payment receipts and your warranty will be void.

OR

3 years/36,000 miles warranty means that we are responsible for performing the oil changes and routine inspections and will house the maintenance records at The Engine Builders business location for the duration of your warranty.

Oil changes are required at 500 miles and every 3,000 miles thereafter.

You are responsible for bringing your vehicle in to us at the proper intervals.

You do not have to bring records in with you, we will have them.

The cost of the first 500 mile oil change and inspection will be $130.00

The cost of every 3000 mile oil change and inspection will be $65.00.

Oil change hours are Monday - Friday

8 am to Noon and 2pm and 4 pm

You must call us at least ONE day in advance to schedule your oil change appointment.

Please call 623 847-1173.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT

We check your Radiator and Fan, Ignition and Exhaust system, and Fuel system.  That way, if any parts are needed outside of the Valve Covers we can contact you and let you know what the cost will be.

This gives you the opportunity to make the decision yourself about whether to bring the part in or have us get it for you.

What we pay for the parts is what you pay and we don't charge extra for labor since the engine is already out.

Keep in mind that things move a little fast around here once we start gearing up to build your engine and given the distance you may be from us or the time involved it may not be possible for you to get a part delivered to us on time.

We will be happy to get one for you.

So it would be greatly advantageous for you to take a good look at your accessories before your vehicle comes to us so you will have an idea of what you need.

It is a whole lot better than waiting until we are in the middle of putting your engine in and finding out the dealership does not carry it anymore or they’re out of stock and have to order it from another state.

We are then forced to look online, which in most cases, is more expensive not to mention the freight charges and often takes 2 to 7 days to get them.

You may need to pay for the engine while we are waiting for additional parts to arrive.

Any given part may even be obsolete as far as the dealership is concerned so if your vehicle is10 years older than the current year we will have to go aftermarket so lets work together to make sure you’re covered.

Please be aware that Covid 19 is causing delays in getting parts for your vehicle. This affect is across the board from Dealerships to AutoZone to O’Reillys, and everywhere. Your parts may be delayed by as much as a week to 10 days. This will make it even more important to work with us prior to installing your motor. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Please let us know what parts you have replaced on your vehicle and where you got them and when.

If you have purchased them from an online source such as eBay, Summit, or Amazon you will be required to buy it local as it won’t be warrantiable for our purposes in the event their replacement is needed.

ie Radiator, Radiator Hoses, Bypass Hoses, Serpentine Belts, Starter, Alternator, Ignition Wires, Sensors and so on

Any parts that require replacement will be placed in your vehicle for your disposal.

When we are done installing your engine we will be taking it out on a test drive so make sure your vehicle has gas in the tank, and your vehicle is registered and insured.

If your vehicle has a battery that is absent or dead or is past the warranty we can not do a test drive.

We will consider the vehicle not safe to drive.

Make sure your vehicle has a new or working battery in it or that we have the warranty information.

It has been our experience that O’Reillys and Auto Zone have been very helpful with warranties. Walmart and Interstate Battery not so much. You will need to come and get the part from us and take it with you in order for them to honor the warranty.

Same for the Registration and Insurance.

If your vehicle is not registered and insured we will not take it for a test drive.

We will consider the vehicle not safe to drive.

And you will not be given a warranty.

There are no exceptions.

Tires. Make sure all the tires are road worthy.

If your tires or brakes are not road worthy we will not take it for a test drive.

We will consider the vehicle not safe to drive.

And you will not be given a warranty.

There are no exceptions.
